最喜欢这部电影的结尾：曾经视美食为生命的科伯先生，因为对老鼠做的东西做了一次公平的评价，他的信誉和名声扫地，再也做不了美食评论家。
　　
　　我记得他之前的家和他的穿着。暗色西装笔挺，衬衫领口塞着小围巾，长长的走廊两边挂着猩红的窗帘，他坐在大厅的尽头咔嗒咔嗒地打着写字机。那姿态，颇有点指点江山的感觉。他喜欢提起自己小食指，指着对面的人说话，他很高，因为经常要俯视别人，所以有点驼背。就是他，喝着红酒写美食影评，用似褒实贬的语气批评厨神餐厅是意大利快餐食品的典范。
　　
　　很庆幸这个人的高贵不是伪装的，他敢于面对自己错误的判断。当他认识到感动自己的饭菜是一个老鼠做的，在一夜长坐之后，写下了这样的美食评论：
　　
　　"In many ways the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But, the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things ... the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.
　　 "But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends."
　　
　　 价值观颠倒是造成人无力向善的根源。向善的科伯先生写完这篇评论以后就再也不是美食评论家了。他戴着瓜皮小帽，围着普通老年人才会围的灰白围巾，成为了一个小企业家，却能享受天下独一的美食。
　　
　　小老鼠的烹调成为一个秘密，“我虽在江湖，但江湖却没有我的传说”。它热心于无名的烹饪，绽露自己的天才，也许要在有一天它死后才能被发现：原来那么多人称赞的食物出自无名鼠辈之手。
